The Clubhotel Piolet enjoys all of the wonderful skiing opportunities provided by Les Menuires and the entire Three Valleys ski area, with up to 600km of piste available in this, the world’s largest ski area. The Piolet is ever popular due to its great location in the heart of Les Menuires and the very warm welcome extended to all of our school groups.

Location
In the heart of Les Menuires, just below our other Clubhotel Skilt, the Piolet is easily reached by coach, on foot or on skis. Clinging to the steep valley sides, high above the valley bottom, means that all of the public areas and most of the bedrooms have stunning views across the valley to the Cime de Carron ski area. It’s possible to ski almost to the back door of the hotel and once basic skills have been mastered your ski instructors will be happy to meet you outside the ski room door!

Ski fit and storage
As you would expect with a SkiBound Clubhotel, our ski fit is provided by our highly trained technicians who maintain all the equipment to the highest possible standards. Storage and including drying racks are very conveniently located within the hotel so you won’t need to carry skis or boots any distance.

Ski pass options
You are spoilt for choice staying at the Piolet. The standard pass covers the Les Menuires area and provides more than enough skiing for any novice skiers. Alternatively, a small upgrade to the Les Menuires and Val Thorens pass gives you full access to the Belleville ski area with its peak at a staggering 3200m. You can also upgrade to the full Three Valleys pass for a massive 600km of piste.

Rooms
With just 33 rooms located over three floors, the Piolet is perfectly sized for school groups and able to comfortably accommodate up to 134 guests. The majority of rooms for students are four bedded, with a few for between 5-7 utilising mezzanine floors so they never feel overcrowded. All rooms are en suite, have TVs and most have balconies with terrific views.

Security
The Clubhotel Piolet has the highest possible security ratings for health and safety, with full certification from the local authorities. In addition to our ever attentive reception and hotel team, an English speaking night porter is also on duty throughout the night, so help is always available. All visitors to the hotel pass through the lounge and bar area making it easy to keep track of anyone entering or leaving. The reception desk also has visibility and controls access to both main entrances to the hotel.

Catering
Our standard accommodation option provides a good buffet breakfast, packed lunch and two course evening meal. However, there are many upgrade options available - please contact us for further details. Hot lunches are particularly popular at the Piolet due to its convenient location close to the slopes.

Après-ski options
The large restaurant and bar, complete with satellite TV, lend themselves perfectly to hosting quiz nights, karaoke and disco evenings using our professional disco and karaoke equipment. There is also a smaller private lounge with flat screen TV and DVD player. The resort also offers a wealth of both outdoor and indoor après options.
